Started his musical career in "The Sixties" as the bass player of King Beezz (a beatgroup from Amersfoort).

He played with this band everywhere in Holland and Germany. In 1985 there was a "Back to the Sixties" revival and Piet took his bass guitar once more out of the box and started touring with the band Rosevalley (Indorock).

Due to physical problems he was forced to stop in 2001, but after rehabilitation, the desire to play in a band was even stronger...

In 2003 he became a member of the folkgroup Slán. At the moment he is also presenting the ZuidWest FM-program "Celtic Connection". This is a local radio program about folkmusic from Ireland, Scotland, England, Brittany and Galice. It is broadcast every monday evening from 19.00 - 20.00 hours.
